New earrings - 3ct unheated ruby cabochon & vintage style

[OTL]

Finally received my ruby earrings! Each ruby cab is 1.5ct and both are certified no heat by AIGS.
Set in an Edwardian style with 18k white gold and diamond accents.
My favourite earrings of 2015. Last year it was those Burmese red spinel piece

The stones are from Tan, the moment I saw these on ebay I hit the BIN button
Usually I am not a big cabochon fan but they are surely very easy to use for jewelry!

Thank you all and sorry for no ear pictures, it's just difficult for me to take ear shots with a DSLR myself :p
I always am really bad at taking ear photos even with a cell phone.
The length of this earrings is a bit long for everyday wear, I think it's for special occasions. But I bet there would be times I feel they are OK for an outdoor BBQ

OTL: Your earrings are stunning. Love the red color of the ruby cabs. You can make the length of the earrings more flexible by making the first section with the round diamond and two leaflets removable, Add a small wire to the back of the hook and to the back of the center of the leaflets. Then you can wear your ruby dangles long or short. A good jeweler can do this easily for a small fee.

Just curious where you got the setting. Some years ago, I traded some unwanted mountings for a similar setting which had an empty hole in the bottom dangle. I set the diamonds from my plain dangles in the holes. Made the diamonds look much bigger. I cut mine to wear them long or short.

Thanks AN for the great advice! I had my jeweller made the setting it is not actually vintage stuff. It's based on a pair of Edwardian earrings with slightly adjustment.

OTL I love these earrings. The cabs are beautiful. You and your jeweler did a great job on the setting. I really like the wavy halo and droopy leaves. I eish I had more elegant vocabulary to describe these. Love love love them

Art Nouveau do you have a picture to show what you mean about the 'wire' in the back to have flexibility in the length of the earrings. I'm intrigued and I can't picture it.

Sungaru, I have front view pictures of my earrings before and after restyling. But I do not have pictures of the back showing the wire for hanging the dangle. Hope this is clear enough. If you still want to see pictures of the mechanism, I will have to take them later
