Ok, all you diamond experts, please educate me!
A few days ago I received my double shank halo e-ring reset with a new ACA diamond. I was expecting and definitely got a stone full of fire and sparkle (it’s just gorgeous and I can’t stop starring at it).
What I wasn’t expecting though was that the pave stones in the e-ring band and wedding band suddenly seem to flash a lot more fire and sparkles. Don’t get me wrong, I love it. It’s a pleasant surprise!
I’m just curious though, what is making that happen? Are the pave diamonds in the band really just reflecting the color dispersions from the center diamond? Or are they actually now creating their own “fire”? The bands never sparkled fire before. The previous diamond in the setting was not a super ideal and produced some fire but not a lot. But the bands never produced noticeable fire before, just bright white.
See some pics below to see what I’m talking about:
On the pic above, there is some color dispersion (is that the right term?) on the far right side of the band. That’s not coming from the center stone, right?
See lots of purple sparks all over the bands above.
Been hoping to get more intentional fire shots but the weather has not been cooperating. Have had nothing but clouds, rain and thunderstorms here in Central Florida.
Thanks and Happy 4th of July!
