I just had DK set a few projects for me.
The first is a 6.3 mm (1.3 ct) Ceylon sapphire from desertrose set in a Tiffany soleste-inspired pendant. The stone is unheated and has a really pretty cut. I am a little unsure about the size of the attachment at the pendant and chain but I also prefer a thinner chain. Not sure if it's worth trying to make it slightly smaller - am open to input from more experienced folks!

Here's the link to the Instagram post about the stone: https://www.instagram.com/p/CNLIuL4hd6u/?utm_medium=copy_link

the next project is a 5.4 mm pair of garnets cut by Michelle Mai. These are going to be a gift for my sister, whose daughter was born in January

I also have a pair of sapphire earrings coming that are the same shade as the pendant, but I only have a video of those.

Wow the sapphire looks so blue and sparkly. And the gallery (?) of the pendant is so pretty to. Is it a lotus? And how cool to have a matching set! So jelly.

And what a sweet gift for your sister. It can also be passed doen to your niece if and when she's old enough to have her ears pierced.

Yes, the gallery is a lotus. I just wanted something decorative on the back!

I actually just bought a suite of garnets from a PSer that has 4 rounds/2 pairs so I'm hoping one of those will be suitable to save for my niece when she's older!

Love the color of your sapphire pendant and I can't wait to see the earrings! The garnet earrings are so sweet. Lucky sister!

Everything arrived but I've been on nights this week. No time or energy to get pictures but here's one while I was at work. Pardon my hand covering my name on my jacket!

Caught a picture of the earrings while at the park. This is in indirect afternoon sunlight.

You mentioned you were unsure about the size of the connecting jump ring between pendant and chain? You can definitely go smaller but it’s probably there to add strength as this is a “weak” point in the design. It’s easily changed but unless it’s screaming at you I would leave it alone and I have to say that it’s beautiful.

Thanks! It's definitely more subtle in person so I am leaving it!
