New blue-green tourmaline from Dan

Hey all,

here are some pics of the 6.3mm blue green tourmaline I had Dan cut for my mum - it will be her 50th b'day gift and
Sally is currently making a lotus setting for it.
My mum is hugely into Buddhism and everything Yoga etc (she's a yoga teacher), hence the choice
of the lotus setting being made in Thailand. Also her "buddhist colour" is green, and she likes blue sapphs,
so the selection of a blue green tourm.

I must say I adore the colour of this gem, is a total winner - Thankyou Dan!
My only regret is he didn't have anymore to cut me one, lol

This is also one of Dan's "new photos" - so I'll let you guys decide if you think he colour/lighting is better. Personally
I couldn't be happier with this gem, and can't wait to give it to mum !

It''s rather small by PS standards, 6.3mm - however she doesn''t own or wear much jewellery, so I felt this
was really the appropriate size for her.

That''s a lovely tourmaline. Did Dan say where it came from in Africa? I assume it''s African by the looks of it, perhaps Namibian.

It also resembles his vendor photo so cudos to Dan for getting his pictures worked out!

thankyou all for your lovely comments about the gem and my mum - I''m very
glad its gotten the PS tick of approval ..

IK, it will be going in the sterling silver lotus setting - unfortunately, I just lost my job on monday,
so I don''t have a gold budget at the moment

But she wears and loves Sterling, so I''m sure she''ll be
happy with it.

Thanks mochi! I had a heart-stopping moment while outside photographing it, and it jumped outta the
container and fell to the ground !

Very glad there is no damage, but next time I must find some
grass to stand on while doing photo shoots, lol !

Ha ha Freke - I''ll tell her if she doesn''t like it, there will be a bunch of PS''ers waiting to take it
