Hi Everyone! So I fell in love with this sapphire ring on eBay and thought I’d take a chance. I haven’t seen a setting quite like it before - the design is unique. Kind of reminds me of a bigger Yvonne R ring. Per the appraisal, it’s a 1.35 ct pink trillion sapphire, 1.23 ct total of blue/green sapphires and .60 ct diamonds It is definitely not my usual style. Much more finger coverage than I am used to. I expected it to be kind of gaudy honestly and figured I could turn it into a pendant. But I got it in the mail today and I am pleasantly surprised. The cut and color are much better than I anticipated and it sure sparkles! I am having fun looking at it on my finger. So what do you guys think? Ring or pendant? It’s beautiful.
I’d keep it as a ring, that way you can constantly admire it “discreetly”.
I find with pendants everyone else gets to admire it and unless you find mirrors to look into you can’t see it.
I also love statement rings.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a statement or cocktail ring before :-) Most of mine are more the engagement ring style. I know it probably isn’t that big, at least in stone size. I just hope it doesn’t look weird on my finger! I love the color combination

No it looks perfect there on your right hand middle finger, gives your hand balance.
At least try wearing it a while to see if it grows on you as a ring and if you find that it’s not really your “style”, then convert it to a pendant.
Either way it’s a very striking piece of jewellery.

I like it as a ring, also looks well crafted. I think it's beautiful!

It's gorgeous!!!! Definitely keep as a ring!!!!

Thank you! The detail work is very nice. It’s actually by Shane Co. Which looking online seems to be a pretty nice, legit company with website and brick and mortar stores. Although I can’t find this exact ring anywhere so maybe it was custom.

It is unusual and beautiful. I think you should wear it for awhile and see if you enjoy having a statement ring. If not then you can turn it into a pendant.

I'd personally wear it as a cocktail ring, and I think it would be elegant as such. For daytime wear, it reads as costume jewellery. Which is totally fine if you're into that .

I wear rings more than pendants so another vote for ring although you can get these really cool rings that convert into pendants that clip on and off so maybe both :)

Another ring vote for me. It looks so right on your finger!

:love:I’d keep it as a ring. To be honest, when I read the description, I thought it sounded like a hot mess. However, when I scrolled down and saw your photo, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a beautiful ring!! I would keep it as a ring. Wow!

You won’t go with a ring or a pendant. Nice design and very smart use of gray green blue sapphires. :) If you are not a big ring person, it will make an eye-catching pendant.

I think I've seen those convertible "ring to pendant" styles on David Klass Jewelry's Instagram page. That would make it so versatile!

Wow I LOVE this ring!!! If it were mine I'd keep it as a ring cause it's gorgeous. The setting and stone. But I also like @ringo865 's suggestion of making it a convertible style. As long as you could keep that gorgeous setting with it. LOVE.:kiss2:

Another vote for ring! I love my pendants but always wish I could see them and admire them myself. ShaneCo did my engagement ring (we bought the stone ourselves but bought the setting from them and had them set it), and we've been very happy with the results several years on now.

Yeah from what I can gather from online research, Shane Co does good work and has nice settings but their diamonds are overpriced, so looks like you did it the smart way!

I might have to research the whole convertible ring pendant idea. Such a cool idea! But it might end up costing me more than the ring itself cost me!

I'm thinking ring for now. It definitely looks way better than the pics from the seller! I love it when eBay pleasantly surprises me!

Another vote for the ring! It’s awesome, and you should get to admire it on your finger!

I LOVE this! Where did you find it on eBay? From a private seller?

Yes just a random private seller. She bought it new from Shane Co. last year and included their appraisal form. I can’t find the exact ring online or anywhere! And she has no other jewelry listed on eBay.

Well she is making friends with my stormy spinel ring. They seem very compatible ❤️❤️❤️C2CFD0C0-6E21-439A-B0BF-DAC8C383B574.jpeg E8B1252F-58B0-40AC-8945-93505369B80E.jpeg B66BEBF9-E8D4-45B7-A299-C5BFB8D5FEF4.jpeg 452A84FC-C048-47B5-A93B-705EC54F923D.jpeg

Yessss! Stormy is saying oh please keep my new friend just as is. She's perfect.:kiss2: And they are perfect together. Perfectly gorgeous!

Oh it's very cool! The sapphire is beautiful and I love the uniqueness of the setting. I would keep it as a ring. That way you can enjoy seeing it.
