It is nice, but it does not have the amazing color you other stone has. It is pretty in its own right, but I agree with the others in that it resembles some other green stones more than a tsavorite.
I think it's really pretty, definitely different from your other one but still pretty. But if you don't love it, it makes more sense to save the money for something that you will.
I understand why while the stone is pretty, it’s not what you are looking for. The round cut adds a lot of brilliance and sparkle but the hue has a yellow modifier and also a lower saturation level. If you like a richer deep green, it’s just not going to measure up.
In some of your photos I see more of a bluish cast, and in some, more grey and yellow. If it was like the former, I would keep it, as it would be a pretty mint garnet. However, if you don't like it, well, back it goes. . .
I actually prefer Barry's minty one if it's like the "bluer" photos, but I think some people prefer the more dark toned tsavorites. I'm not of the latter camp. Regardless of tone, a good tsavorite or green grossular should have a nice saturation.
