Hi all.
I thought I'd share this on here, as it may be of interest. It's a 155 ct/31 gram lot of tsavorite garnet crystals, presumably from the Merelani Hills in Tanzania. This was actually sold as demantoid, but the slightly different look of the crystals, the vivid green colours, the association with graphite on some of them, and a peachy fluorescence under LWUV with most all confirm the grossular var. tsavorite ID. There are one or two complete crystals in that lot, including one of those odd elongated forms that tsavorite seems to grow in on occasion. I got this lot at a very nice price too - $120 including the shipping and VAT from a seller in Thailand.
