I'm currently working on a new 3-stone ring project and need some help/suggestions on the setting. I already have a 3-stone so this will be a second ring. The center stone will be a 2.5 CT and the sides will be 1.2 ctw each. Additionally, I'm thinking of keeping the existing halo in the center stone (but not sure if it will work). I like high settings and want to ensure I can wear a band flush against this ring if I choose. I have 2 settings that I'm wondering if they can be combined. I like the mount and baskets on the ornate setting (which I'd have done plain but wonder if I could incorporate a bezel something like the other ring (photos attached). Obviously the width would be a concern and I'd have to get the angle of the side stones correct. Pictures are attached. HELP! Thoughts?

The mount will be plain without all the details in the photo but may have five 8 pt diamonds on each side of the shank. For reference, my ring size is currently a six. The measurements of the stones are as follows: center is 8.7 mm and each side is 6.9 mm.

I have received my first photos of the mock-up for my new ring. I've asked for a couple of tweaks but would appreciate any input or suggestions on the setting design.

That inspiration ring is magnificent. Your CAD has a great design too but the gallery seems extremely high to me. Did you ask for it to sit that high off your finger?

Thanks for your response pandabee. I have asked the designer to give me the measurements for both the height and width of the ring. My previous halo setting was 9mm high and I asked for this ring to be comparable. With a wide ring I thought having the stones sit higher would make it more comfortable. I'll have to see. I've also asked for some modifications to the basket so I can wear an eternity band flush fit. I'm still debating whether or not that is the right choice or if this should just be a stand alone RHR. As well, I think I might have milgraining done around the halo and down the shank. I just want to get this right the first time as the will be a "forever ring". I appreciate any feedback I can get. There are so many PSers with much more experience in this area than I have.
