Nervous About Her Ring

I'm set to pick up my girlfriend's ring- I've been searching for months (and months) for something that she'd like. She was inspired by the Princess Diana's and Kate's rings. I finally selected a 2.59 sapphire with diamonds .67. She has a size 7 finger and likes things elegant. She likes silver, white gold and platinum. The ring band is 14 k white gold. I'm hoping the ring isn't too big! What do you think?

And if she doesn't like it. What are my options?

Its BEAUTIFUL GNHN!!! WHat is not to love? but... what is the vendor's return/exchange policy?

I haven't purchased it yet. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow or Tuesday from a wholesaler in Southern California. I'm getting it for less than $3k but was told that the center stone itself is worth $2,500. The jeweler is a friend of a buddy of mine (he also bought his ring there).

So I guess there's not really a return policy in effect now because I haven't purchased it. I will honor the agreement though- I'm just nervous about her response. She really likes Kate's and Diana's rings though. Sapphire also happens to be her birthstone

Make sure you get a return policy IN WRITING. As much as you think she'll love it - and IT"S GORGEOUS, love the stone color - you want to make sure you can return it. You may also want to get an appraisal from a trusted PS approved appraiser for insurance purposes and to ensure the sapphire is as represented. Buying sapphires is tricky.

But over all, it's a gorgeous ring and I hope she loves it! :)
 
Thanks for the feedback. I will be sure to get the return policy in writing as well as secure an outside appraisal. I wish I would have discovered this cite a few months ago, before I ordered it. You guys are very helpful. I will let you know what I think about it once I pick it up.

As someone who loves that style of ring :-) I think it looks great (see my ruby). If you told you she loves a diana style ring then the one you picked looks great. If you want to see a similar ring (but in a Ruby) in about the size stone you picked on someones hand check out Uppys thread https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/princess-ruby.177983/ . The ring is Uppys Ruby in the same style is about the same size stone. She put up pictures of it on her hand and I think she had like a size 7 finger. Mine is much smaller but I have a TINY finger (size 4 ring finger) and mine is a right hand ring vs a E ring. But anyhow I am sure she will love it.

I picked up the ring and am happy to report that I'm satisfied with it! Thanks for all of your feedback and advice. Here are the specs:

2.59 CARAT OVAL SHAPE SAPPHIRE FINE QUALITY

12 DIAMONDS TOTAL WEIGHT 0.67 CARAT

7.5 GRAMS OF 14KT WHITE GOLD
