Negative Cystal Query

Would a very small negative crystal (only seen with loupe) compromise the integrity of the stone when it comes to being set, i.e. is it weaker or is it not of concern?

Where is is?

I would say with 99.9% certainty that it is not a problem.

Usually it isn't, especially if it is loupe only (as long as it isn't right at the edge or culet).

No. I have set lots of spinels with bubbles. I even set a spinel with a bubble towards the edge. The important thing is to have a good jeweler that knows how to properly set stones other than diamonds.

Thanks TL.

I asked and it's on one side and not close to girdle so would be fine to set.
