need your help, recommend me a ring design for a 6mm diamond

Thanks for any recommendation.

Please, recommend me a ring design for a 6mm diamond. 4 or 6 pong design is fine.

the catch is that the actual ring size is US size 3 1/4...... So a lot of design sort of looks odd with such small size ring.


Should I just stick with the simplest design with like a very small width band like 1.5mm?

I would probably stay at 1.8 - 2mm. Do you know what she wants? Are you looking for a classic Tiffany style setting or
do you want pave (small diamonds on the band)?

Are you looking for somewhere to get it or are you just looking for ideas?

I think this is going to be your best bet:

It also allows for a flush fit band. And just about any jeweler should be able to order from Stuller for you.

Stick with a simple solitaire design and you'll be fine. The elaborate shanks do look overly busy and cramped with a small finger size. IMO what's worse is elaborate basket designs with smaller or average sized stones. Sure they look great on 2.5ct or bigger stones but they become a jumbled mess when people try to stick a 1ct center in them.

You could contact David Klass as he has some simpler solitaire designs that are still elegant and beautiful and will fit a 6mm nicely.

thanks for the suggestions. so basically keep it simple with 4 pong....
