Need your help - new project!

So I bought a LOGR setting and all it needs is a stone. I''ve contacted a few cutters, and so far, Barry Bridgestock has some pink tourmaline rough he can cut but not certain of what the color will be (other than some shade of pink). On the other hand, Dan Stair just got back to me with a possibility - a 1.98 ct umbalite garnet in a deep, purply-pink. He kindly photoshopped it onto the pic I have of the setting, and I need your opinions on how it looks. It''s a gorgeous color, but what are your opinions as to how it looks in the setting, with the white gold (no yellow gold for me since I don''t wear it, and I don''t think rose gold would be appropriate for this shade of pink).

I love yellow gold, but I recently set my umbalite garnet in white gold. I felt that the stone had plenty of color, and the white gold would really make it pop!!

And it does!! So, go for it!!
