It hurts to see what I would have ended with, without you

Cannot wait to get the ring and share actual pictures with you!

Nice stone!

Hi, I have just received the pictures of the ring from WF, and I am really concerned by the color of the center stone. It appears REALLY yellow to me.

The sell reps tell me that I am seeing fire and not the stone body color. However I am very concerned and they have shipped the ring before they sent me the picture so they cannot take other pictures to calm me down. I am melting. :knockout:

NEED your thoughts PS please! Thanks!!

It's probably fire. A J, especially a super ideal J, doesn't look that yellow. That is like W color yellow.

IMG_3947.PNG You can see slight J color tint here. You probably can't even see it when face up.

Thanks, I hope you are right (fingers crossed)

Even if it is not a huge stone for the PS community, it is quite a purchase for me and my budget only allowed me a J in that size. I am really excited to be able to give an ACA to my wife to be. (Hopefully :lol-2:) But seeing the picture they sent me, I almost fainted. :errrr: Especially because I am running out of time, 3 weeks to go. And also because there is no other option available in their inventory unless I add up +\- 1000 USD, which is not possible at the moment. (Twins babies at home :praise:)

My twins are 18 years old now, so I get it!

Congratulations all around!!! My first engagement stone was .75 and it held me for about 16 years (1993 cut, so not a great cut)! At least you went with whiteflash so if ever you want to trade up, it will be easy! But don't be surprised if .85 holds forever! It is a beautiful stone and setting you picked out.

Gorgeous!!! You will come back and show us hand shirt, right?

Don't worry about the J. I had a J super ideal cut that is bigger and it is in no way, shape or form as yellow as the pic - it faces up nice and white. @whitewave hit the mark.

Or hand shirt. ;)2

What about bad shots for now?

I have just picked up the ring from Fedex this evening and took a few pictures very fast when my SO wasn’t looking!

It turnes out that the stone in not yellow at all! At was just fire :angryfire:

Better pix will come later. Really happy with the finale result. In person it sparkles a lot. The melee has nothing to compare with the Petite pavée from JA. The arrows are beautiful, the setting inspires confidence and the engraving is very well done.

Good job WF!

Here are a few “better” pictures.

Next ones will involve a hand :P2

Not huge but has a lot of presence. I now understand what people qualifies of disco ball! I was originally looking for a Cartier Étincelle e ring. My budget would have allow me a .40 stone... then I discovered JA, read a lot, watched a lot of YouTube videos (thanks @Rhino) learned a lot, ordered a first ring from JA, it was a bust (dullest stone on Earth lol), returned it, changed my mind, changed my mind again, then discovered PS!! Asked for advice (that thread) and finally ordered the ring above. I had a lot of uncertainty, bothered the WF staff more than I should have. But I LOVE the result :-)

No fluorescence in the center stone. Only 2 melees with fluorescence, one quite strong and one medium. It is not noticeable under the sun.

I was surprised that the ring came in Simon G. ring box. But WF is sending me their wooden box at no additional cost. Nice gesture.

(Whiteflash A Cut Above .85 J VS2 in a Simon G. platinum setting LR1083 with .25 of melee, USD $4550 excl. tx.)

Beautiful!!!

She has said YES!

(She found the center stone a little too big, and a little shinny lol, but she loves it and is sad to have to ship it back for resizing...)

Thanks again for all your help!

Congratulations!!! Its beautiful...too big??? Whats that???:lol-2:

No such thing says my girlfriend.

Wait... are we still talking about diamonds? :lol-2:

In all seriousness though, it's a beautiful ring. Glad she loves it, and congrats on the engagement!

it's perfect! Don't worry, the diamond will shrink to her eyes within days ;) No such thing as too big (more most people - I have read only one exception here on PS)!

You did good! It is a beautiful ring.
