Need your advice...Is it worth it to re-cut a stone to an 8*?

being the expert that you are i figure you would be able to calculate the weight by using the measurements.

I disagree with Garry if I was going to spend the bucks on a recut then I would want a super-ideal back not some mutant mutt of a diamond.
To me the math works out:
(new stone - sell old one amount) > (recutting cost) then recut.
Lost weight is just a by product of having it done.
So if a:
(super-ideal 1.15ct I vs2 - what could be got fairly quickly out of the old diamond) > recut cost
then it was worth it.

the original purchase price + recut cost doesnt enter into it unless the diamond was specificaly bought for a recut.
