I have the following e-ring from diamond.com. I was looking at a facets collection eternity ring for a wedding band. Will en e-ring that isn''t an eternity ring look ok with an eternity wedding band?

Here''s the facets collection ring in which I am interested.

I think those rings will be beautiful together! In fact, I like the fact that they are not both eternity rings

I concur..my only concern would be the e-ring and eternity band fitting together (since the stone protrudes slightly on the bottom)

It looks great, but there will be a gap. I can't tell how big the gap will be. I have an eternity band from Signed Pieces and there is a gap, but it's slight and I don't mind it one bit. See the pic in my avater. They have a full 30 day money back guarantee so you could always try it and send it back if the gap is not to your liking.

My sister has a Signed Pieces sapphire/diamond eternity ring. It''s not the Raphael, though. It''s a really pretty ring and the sapphires are a great color. Here''s a link of some pics (hopefully it''ll work):

Oh, I think they will look stunning together! As others mentioned there will probably be a gap, but I''d suggest you just get the band and see if you don''t mind the gap, and if you do, finding something else (or go the custom route.) But while I personally don''t like a gap between the e-ring and w-band, I think in your case it will still look beautiful

If you are someone who doesn''t like a gap, you can always get a spacer like me My Ring Project.

something curved??

Just had a thought....love the facets ring, but wondering how the sapphire colors would match.......not that they HAVE to......................................

Thank all of you for your input. I don''t mind the gap between the e-ring and the wedding ring, but I forgot to take into consideration the color difference in the sapphires. I am worried that the sapphires in my e-ring will be much darker than the sapphires from signed pieces. So, I am not sure what to do at this point. I guess I could order it and send it back if I doesn''t look right, but I don''t like having to do that. In reality, I didn''t want a wedding ring at all. I just wanted my e-ring to be a combination e-ring/wedding ring. But my husband is tired of everyone asking if we''re married yet, so he wants to buy me a wedding ring. He just wants to buy me a plain white gold band, but I told him I wanted something with diamonds in it if I have to get a wedding band. So, I found the ring from signed pieces, and thought it would be perfect. Now, I''m not so sure...

you could always do an all diamond eternity band instead of alternating b/t the diamonds and sapphires. i think it would still look yummy

mrssalvo,
I was thinking the very same thing. I think that''s a great idea!!!

That''s a good idea about getting an all diamond eternity band instead. I also found this ring and thought it might look good since I have a radiant center diamond on my e-ring. What does everyone think?

I recc. going to a local jewelers and trying on sapphire bands and diamond bands to see what the 2 different looks are. I thought I''d want a sapphire band too but when I saw the look I didn''t like it. I ended up with a band with 3 EC''s end to end and it looks great. the sapphires were too distracting and didn''t match in color.

Thanks to everyone who helped me with this. I didn''t want to give up the idea of getting a diamond and sapphire wedding band, so I went to speak with a jeweler yesterday about getting one with sapphires to match the ones in my engagement ring. He was extremely helpful, and I am going to have a custom eternity band made by him. It will be curved around my engagement ring, so there won''t be much gap and nothing will be hidden, but the back side of the eternity band will be straight. If I decide to wear it alone, all I have to do is flip the ring around on my finger, and no one will even know it''s curved on one side. Pretty clever, huh? So, next week I will start the process of having my ring made. The only bad thing is that I have to give him my engagement ring so he knows how to make the curvature of the eternity band. He will be doing both CAD design and a wax model, so I will get an idea of what it looks like before it''s done. It won''t be as expensive as I thought either. It will be $1150 to $1450, and the band I liked from signed pieces was around $1060. He will also be using the same quality diamonds that signed pieces uses and it will be approximately the same carat weight. So, I''m pretty happy. I can''t wait to get it, and it''s not even started!

Congrats! I am glad things will be working out so well for you. I think your wedding band sounds lovely. When will you have the waxes and cad drawings? I am most intreasted in the design.

I would love to see pics when it''s done - I think it''s a great idea to have the eternity ring curved on one side and not on the other so you can wear it together with the e-ring as well as alone. I hope you don''t have to wait too long - a few weeks I''m assuming?

FireGoddess, you mean you hope WE don''t have to wait too long! lol J/K

Icannot WAIT to see the results. I think it will be fabulous! Please keep us posted on each step..i.e. design, wax, wax w/stones, finished wedding band, finished band with e-ring, finished band with e-ring on finger from multiple angles with various lighting, also the mandatory box and flower shots!...that isn''t asking for much!

Well, I got my wedding band last night, but I didn''t have time to take pictures of it yet. I like it, but it seems to overwhelm my e-ring a little too much. The diamonds and sapphires are 5 pointers, and I''m thinking now I should have gone with 3 or 4 pointers. Oh well, too late now, and I''ll get used to it. I''ve also never had an eternity band before, and it feels a little weird. I''ll try to take pictures soon, and I''ll want everyone''s honest opinion of it. Thanks again to everyone who helped me with this process.

It''s probably substantial enough to stand alone. I cannot wait to see it!

We look forward to seeing hand pics of your new band with that beautiful e-ring! Keep in mind that adding extra bling like that may take a little time to get used to. I''ll bet they are gorgeous together!!!
