Hi guys, looking for a little help here. ;) I am looking to upgrade my diamond studs by turning my pendant into a matched pair. Now that I'm a stay at home mom, I don't find that a diamond pendant is something I wear all that much (sigh . . . ).

The stone I have is as follows:
K SI2 0.52ct
GIA excellent, HCA 1.3 with arrows
5.13-5.18x3.19

So I'm looking for a matching J-L, VS2-I1 stone that is as affordable as possible. None of the contenders is jumping out at me yet. What do you think?

1. worried about the clarity: http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/J-I1-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1380225.asp?b=16&a=12&c=77&cid=131

2. a little pricey: http://www.b2cjewels.com/dd-2326248-0.51-carat-Round-diamond-J-color-SI2-Clarity.aspx?cid=DiamPS

3. budget friendly with an HCA score of 0.7, but maybe too different cut-wise http://www.solomonbrothers.com/Diam...4530-A456-0409DFEFB8DE+&utm_source=PriceScope

4. another L: http://www.solomonbrothers.com/Diam...4530-A456-0409DFEFB8DE+&utm_source=PriceScope

5. This would be my front-runner, but I'm worried that 5.25-5.28 is too much bigger than 5.13-5.18 and also that it only has "good" symmetry. ??? http://www.b2cjewels.com/dd-1907614-0.53-carat-Round-diamond-K-color-SI2-Clarity.aspx?cid=DiamPS

Thanks for any help your eagle eyes can provide!

Also, which sit lower in the setting, 3 prong martini studs or 4 prong? I don't currently love the look of my 4 prong studs (0.72ctw), but maybe I would like the look with a bigger stone? I'm just worried that the martini studs will always look "off balance." Thoughts?

nfowife, I saw that one and eliminated it because it only gets an HCA score of 4.3 (crown 35.5, pavilion 41), but it does look good in the pic, so maybe it's an exception to the "rule."

Oh yeah, that one SLG posted looks better than mine! I must have skipped doing the hca or something! Sorry! But you can ask for idealscopes of 3 stones so may be worth asking.

I find table size to be so important to my eye when looking for a "matching" stone. Maybe even more so than size or clarity.
