Have you been to Langs Antiques in San Francisco? If you are in the Bay Area I would totally hit Langs- Mecca of old cuts in the city-- and then maybe Joe Escobar (call them to see if they can source a stone for you, they have some GORGEOUS settings).

Thanks vintage lover, I really like this one.http://www.rubylane.com/item/603337-RL1282/Vintage-Deco-2-57ct-Diamond

Gypsy, I do not live in San Fran I actually live in PA.

I have spoken with JBEG, but their prices seem a bit high to me anymore. I guess I am hoping to find a good deal but I just don't think I know enough about diamonds yet to do so.

I do appreciate everyones comments and feedback

Pretty but the center might be dark and have quite a bit of obstruction.

Gypsy, I love the diamond, but I don't like the setting.....I am not thinking they would sell it by itself??

I do love that what, but Chupie, what are you looking for? The original stone and the one Gypsy linked are more like modern RBs. Do you want a chunky OEC or.... just a big rock for a good price without a specific look mattersing (other than good optics of course)?

HI:

Have you had the opportunity to look at Old World Diamonds--the link I provided when you first inquired? Is there nothing there that might suit--or are you looking for a "ring" (stone + setting completed)?

cheers--Sharon

Have you seen this? Don't know how you feel about Ebay, but this seller has 100% feedback and the stone looks like it has potential maybe??

This! I have been looking at this for a while now...if I didn't already have a 2.3c stone and want a larger size, I would have jumped all over it. The stone looks COMPLETELY AMAZING. If you don't like the setting you can unset the diamond and sell it separately or sell it for scrap.
