Need some help with this brooch or pin or?

Hi, I bought this kinda neat looking pin and I cannot find any information on line at all about this piece by the signature. I don't know where to turn next. Can someone please help?

So from what I could find this pin is marked Simmons and 14k but I can't make out what is between these two stamps.

I found a similar pin that sold on Ebay, not much help but thought I would share the link so you could see:
