I'm thinking of purchasing a diamond over the 'net. Someone please tell me that's OK! (just so I'll feel better)

The price is quoted at $5200/ct.

Here are the specs I have:
Oval, 1.00, E, VVS2
7.54x5.44x3.47
Depth 63.8
Table 60
Girdle slightly thick to extremely thick faceted
Polish good
symmetry good
fluorescence none

I'm very new to this and would appreciate any help and advice.

Are all those listings the actual diamond that this guy is trying to sell me?

If so, is there any reason not to purchase from the lowest price?

The price you've been quoted is not too high. As you can see, some vendors list the same stones for more.

However, if your vendor reserved the stone already, nobody else can sell it until it will be released. This is very usual with the stones listed in the internet.

Your dealer already spent some time with you. Try to negotiate the price.
