Here is my four corners pendant from WF. It houses a .41 stone and I''ll be upgrading to something around .62 (not sure - some may have read my other posts and I have to stay under.70 to keep within budget).

I like the bellerina pendant.

http://www.whiteflash.com/Fine-jewelry/Pendants/The--Bellerina--Diamond-Pendant--SETTING-ONLY_1114.htm

It''ll cost $485 - WG and that means to get that style, I''d have to stick with a diamond of around .60ish
If I keep my four corners I can use that with a new basket and can get a slightly larger diamond.

Thoughts on these two choices - smaller diamond with substantial setting, slightly larger with subtle setting?

The four corner style flips and I do have a DBTY pendant and that also flips, so I''m not sure if the Bellerina will have that problem too. . .

I cannot predict if someday I swap things around, but if I do it''ll be years down the road and that cannot be taken into account at this time.

If I hadn''t bought my martini from WF, I''d have bought the 4 corners (I bought the martini pendant to match the martini earrings hubby bought me first for my bday :)). I really don''t have a flipping problem with my martini but always wished I''d gone with an 18'' chain versus 17'' - grumble..

Howeverrrrr, the bellerina is SUCH a gorgeous pendant because of its uniqueness, I think with that setting, your upgraded diamond will also look larger. I wish they made matching studs or leverbacks for that pendant!!!
It''s probably good they haven''t made matching stuff for that pendant because even more stuff would be added to my wish list that I would have to wait years to buy. lol

I guess I should also mention that my earrings are the same basket setting as the pendant so currently I have a set. Would it matter that much if my earrings and pendant are a different style?

How tall are you? I am wondering if I should get an extention for the chain. The 16" is a bit short.

Like you, I`ve got a four corners WF which has a .58 ACA and I LOVE it. I also upgraded to a 18" chain because I prefer the look of a longer chain.

Here`s the thread FYI.

I was very smitten by the Bellerina when it first came out and I still think it`s gorgeous but for me, I wanted something simple and classic (and $ invested in a bigger stone rather than a more expensive setting). My 2 cents. :)

Good luck with your decision MC. If you`re anything like me, decisions like this take years off your life I swear!

But what a nice stress to have. Either way, you come out a winner with a beautiful piece of jewellery.

bellerina is gorgeous, and I think will look fantastic with your basket earrings!

Cashette - beautiful pendant. Looks a lot bigger than .58!

I really love the Bellerina pendant. It''s hard to tell how the stone is set, bezel or prongs. I can''t see any prongs on the WF photo. I think that setting makes any stone look larger.

Yeah, I'll have to call them about how the diamond is set. I'm also wondering if they can use the chain from my four corners for the bellerina so I can save a bit of money. . .just an idea. If not, I guess I can set a colored stone in the four corners.

Eh. . .what a decision. The bellerina seems like it nicely frames the diamond. Kind of seems like the four-corners gets lost especially since it flips and tilts down, etc.

I tried showing my DH but he didn't provide input. He just said, "yeah." I'm just not sure which pendant he said that about. lol I'll leave him alone about it. He's trying to be supportive even though diamonds are the last thing on his mind.

The ballerina pendant will be very pretty.

I have the WF 4 corners with a 0.91 ct diamond and I absolutely love it. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-new-wf-solitaire-pendant.76974/ Mine does not flip often. I have a 17" chain with a "jump" ring at 16.25". I also paid a little extra to get a 2" extender chain with a ring in the middle, so I can wear the necklace at 16.25", 17", 18" or 19", depending on my outfit. I love this necklace and have worn it at least 3 days a week for the past 2 years.

The bellerine is also gorgeous, so it is a tough choice.

Beautiful pendant! This time around, regardless of style, I''m for sure going to order an extender piece. Hopefully that helps reduce flipping.

I love the bellirina. But for me I like a slightly more substantial look when I wear a necklace, which is why I ended up not keeping my prong set pendant in the end. I think that it is good to try to match the proportions of a necklace or earings to one''s frame, and I am tall and zaftig so I like more substantial necklaces. You may feel differently!

Both would be gorgeous of course.
