So, I'm trying to figure out what setting to get for my e-ring. Right now the top two contenders are the Petite Open Cathedral from WF and the Silk solitaire from Knox. I'm looking for something relatively simple - while I wear jewelry every day, it's all very simple (gold wire hoop earrings, my claddagh ring, my emerald ring, and a gold chain w/ pearl pendant) and nothing is really flashy, it's just not my style. I've looked at Stuller's website and Leo Ingwer's website and haven't really found anything that does it for me.
I'm open to any thoughts, opinions, suggestions, whatever - except a halo because it's the one thing that Mr. L absolutely hates. I'm looking for white gold, preferably 18K, since I'm one of those few people who actually prefers gold to platinum - I've had it before and I just don't really dig the patina and prefer the shiny gold look. As to budget I'm trying to stay under $1000 and where ever I purchase the setting from needs to be able to set the stone as there are no jewelers anywhere close to me where I can get it set (long, angry story there about the crap jeweler I visited last week, who is also the only jeweler within an hour and half driving distance who actually has a bench goldsmith!
Oh, the pleasures of living in BFE, Minnesota!)
