0D7FE435-20E2-410E-916E-D413BD061747.jpegHello! I need some advice because I cannot make a decision ever. I have settled on a band but wasn’t sure if it was too much to do two. My ering is a split shank so it is substantial. Is the look of two too much? Thanks so much! The bottom one is what I currently have. :). They are slightly different which I like but all three are milgrain but the two bands have different shapes. I love the mismatched look. The ering and bottom one are both from the Sylvie collection and the top is from James Allen. Thanks again!

Two is too much and the I find the style of the band competes with the ring. You've got a cushion halo, split shank, marquise and squares. It does not tie together for me. I think I'm boring and would just go with a bead-set pave band to match the shank of the ering. Or maybe all round bezel band.

Thanks! I agree two is too much. I think I’ll just stick with the bottom one. I tried on so many and this one just pulled it together for me in a mismatch way. :)

Perhaps the two for occasional wear, but it seems a little finger muffin top going on. As you go thru your daily life, working with your hands, or just plain being alive, with normal swelling, etc., that could get uncomfortably tight.

My hands are so swollen today! Usually not that this bad but I agree. :).

I love the elegant style of the band and your e-ring separately but together they look a bit busy for my personal taste. However, if you have an eclectic style and love em together, then that's all that matters.

Thank you! Second marriage and I had a halo before but with no split shank and a smaller radiant diamond in a bezel. I had a curved band with the pave and I guess I just don’t want the same look. I don’t know why this one works for me but it does. Who knows though, I change my mind like the wind blows. Hence why I need help. :)

I hate to be a party pooper, but your ering is very substantial with a pronounced split shank. It looks gorgeous on it’s own! IMO adding any band competes. For me, some rings just look best solo and yours is one of them. Split shanks already have the look of two bands. It’s a beautiful ring and shouldn’t share the spotlight.

I agree, along these lines. I like the bottom band, without the marquise shape involved. I’d love it, if it were consistently rounds set in squares, all the way around. The top band doesn’t fit, at all. I don’t think you have to “matchy” match the set, but each should compliment the other, and the aesthetic should fit. The center stone, set in a cushion halo could be accentuated with a band consisting of all round diamonds. Not necessarily bezel set, but it will bring out the shape of the round stone a lot.
Just my $0.02 worth.
I think your ER is beautiful, and very vintage. You can do a lot to compliment it, without creating too much busy-ness to distract from it.

Being a guy, you may want to toss my 2 cents in the trash but here goes. Two non-matching bands is definitely too busy, and I'd really prefer nothing besides the main ring. You have a gorgeous ring & diamond that looks very classy on it's own.

So my vote is no additional bands. As a substitute, tell your hubby that with all the money you saved him, you are going to treat yourself to regular manicures and paint jobs for the nails. I'm not really sure what that means, but my girl seems to like it when I get her gift certificates for stuff like that. :cool2:
