Hello fellow PriceScopers.

I have been using this site for a few months as I researched diamonds for my soon-to-be's engagement ring. I am hoping you all can give an opinion on the following stone. I initially selected a .72 G color SI2 diamond with a <2 score on the HCA scale that my [online] dealer found was not eye clean. They suggested the following stone as a replacement:

GIA Cert. 1146139019
Excellent Cut - Round Brilliant
.7 c
G Color
SI2
Excellent Polish & Symmetry
Faint Florescence

62% Table
60% Depth
33% Crown Angle
41.6% Pavilion Angle.

The diamond will be set in a 5.5 size platinum halo setting. This particular diamond does not score as well on the Holloway Cut Adviser. Everything I know about diamonds comes from what I've read on PS and other websites. My first question is, am I over analyzing? Second, if I am not over analyzing, am I putting too much stock in the HCA?

I self-identified the diamond listed below which is a few hundred dollars more. Assuming both are eye clean, which would you select?

GIA 1129619443
Excellent Cut - Round Brilliant
.7 c
G Color
SI1
Very Good Polish & Symmetry
Faint Florescence

58% Table
60% Depth
34% Crown Angle
40.6% Pavilion Angle.

Who is the online dealer? What is the price point? Do they provide Ideal Scope images?

The first one is no good. The second one is a little tricky and needs an Ideal Scope.
