Have been looking for quite a while and I think I found the perfect diamond, but am a little worried with the depth and thin girdle. This stone will be set in a Vatche Xprong. The stone is advertised as H&A and AGS0,F,VS2. I have entered this into the HCA and it returned a score of 1.7. Can someone run this through diamcalc to see how much light might leak. I downloaded diamcalc only to realise that is has to be registered. The diamond is priced in the 3-3.5k range with different etailers. If I do purchase tomorrow do I have the stone sent to an appraiser such as AGA, wait for a good evaluation, and then have the diamond forwarded on to me? Decide it is good or bad, and then send it back to be set at the online etailer? Or is it OK to take the word of the appraiser and then have it sent back to be set and then out to me? Thanks for all the help!
