Need opinion on this diamond

Hi All,

I am planning to propose to my girlfriend and now looking to purchase an engagement ring. I have done my homework quite a bit and i think i found a particular diamond that i would like your opinion, particulary the CUT quality and what i am not sure, is the clarity.

I have attached the GIA cert for your consideration as well as the image of the diamond under magnification.

for the cut, the HCA results looks quite promising but unfortunately i am not able to obtain idealscope results nor do i have a diamond calculator

one thing i am not quite sure is the feathers and their positioning in the diamond, if it will create any problem in the future.

The basic numbers are promising and, while the image looks nice, there is no way to discern consistency, precision or indexing and how they may influence light performance. The patterning appears to be above-average, but it's hard to comment meaningfully as the diamond seems slightly tilted in the photo.

SI1 feathers are usually non-issues. The diamond went through intense pressure and heat during sawing, bruting, blocking and polishing. With that said, only someone with the diamond in hand can confirm this.

As it relates to "the future," a good insurance policy is smart for any diamond owner. Even the most flawless diamond can chip or break if knocked the wrong way against something. At minimum I suggest you include your jewelry on a homeowner's extension. My preference is jewelry-specific insurers; they are not too expensive and usually provide more robust coverage.
