Need opinion on halo jacket on Engagement Ring

My wife's ER is currently sitting in a simple plat solataire setting. Stone size is 1.444cts RB (H &A) AGS000.
I want to upgrade the ring for her, use the stone above as the center stone and use the pave/melee around it for the halo jacket.
To stay within my budget I am looking at a ring that will have a total of 32 diamonds, 20 will be on the halo, and 12 on the ring sides.
The size of the stones are 1.5 pointers. My concern is that the halo will be puny due to the size of the stones surrounding the center stone. Do I have a good concern or will the size of the stones be OK? thanks

You should really discuss this with your vendor and see what they suggest. Not all sizes work for halos and it can go from classy to trashy quickly.

Perhaps someone could post the size of their center stone and the size of the diamonds in the halo, if possible.

But it comes down to personal preference, the look you want.
