Hiii! Just wanted to say everyone here is so helpful!! I am forever grateful :kiss2: for being able to read the different opinions on here.

I currently need expert opinion on the cut of this diamond, which I've learned is the most important C. I've been reading up on the depth, table, pavilion angles, and crown angles, I just want to make sure there is nothing I missed and if there are any red flags. VS1 should be eye clean, right?

Has anyone ever purchased from Adiamor? Are they reputable?

It looks beautiful! Great proportions and very clean.

Adiamor is a fantastic vendor! I purchased a lab diamond with them recently.

I bought a pair of round lab diamonds from them. They look almost identical to the one you posted. They’re very well cut and they look beautiful. They aren’t quite super-ideal but they’re definitely great stones that were a fantastic value. Their shipping was awesome as well

Thanks everyone! The price seems to be pretty low. It was about $7000 after taxes. Is that normal? It looks good to me in person but I'm not sure. It seems too be good to be true. Or maybe I don't know what flaws I'm looking for...

I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the diamond or anything I should watch out for that wouldn't be shown on the report?

Nearly 3ct, GIA 3X, beautiful proportions and angles, Type IIa, for $7000?
That's a huge win!
Gorgeous diamond!

Forgot to add: colorless and VS1 clarity, to boot!

I totally agree--it's a fantastic diamond!

I feel a lot better after reading your opinions. Thank you so much!!

I am only seeing a VVS1 or 2 pin point. I suspect there may be some graining, I would ask them to have an expert eyeball the stone.

Would graining be listed on the report? I ordered it online and currently have the diamond. Is that something I could look for or a local jeweler would be able to help me with?

If you have a high quality loupe or a microscope, you can certainly look for it yourself.

It's not easy for a newbie to ID.
Any gemologist should be able to if you tell them your looking for banding or graining

ITSVIV, Here is a helpful video on internal graining and lab diamonds by Jon at Distinctive Gem.

Quoting Jon at about the 3 min mark:

"What is important to know, is that these features (different degrees of internal graining) that I'm about to show you under the microscope and practically, are NOT COVERED on ANY LAB REPORT that I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot of them."

At the end of this video he shows how you can see if internal graining is affecting your stone under spotlighting. That is the only time it affects the performance of your LGD is under spotlighting. That is why (on your other thread) I was excited to see how you used that light clip to spotlight your diamond!!! My MRB is also a CVD LGD.

Hope this answers your question on internal graining. Great video!

Sorry "itsviv" for the confusion on the light clip that was another thread from "itsfake". He was using a light clip to highlight his diamond. Got you two "its"...confused.

Did you get the HCA score on your diamond? I never saw what it scored.

Yes I did! It’s 0.9, so should be ok? I took it to a local jeweler to shop for a setting. I asked for his opinion and to see if there was anything major that was wrong. He just said, “you guys did good, pretty diamond.”
