Need input on choosing emerald cut diamond!

Hi, I have been learning a tremendous amount on these threads. I am choosing between 2 EC diamonds for my e-ring, and would love and appreciate any input on which to choose. I saw the stones with my naked eye and they both looked comparable to me - and there is little carat difference, 2.78 vs. 2.88. They are both E, VVS2, L/W ratio 1.5. I guess it comes down to the superior cut.

Welcome and congratulations!
Fancy and step cuts are a tough breed! I'm not an expert, but the 2.78 has a lot of dark areas and I don't think the 2.88 has enough contrast. But, don't go by me. Just be prepared for a long search. You will be successful, but it will pay in the long run to keep looking until you find the right one. The pros on here are very helpful if you give them the specs you are looking for and your budget.

numbers are great and in the video it looks to have a lot of potential.
Without more info that's the most I can tell you.
Before someone says table>depth bad, that does not apply to this stone. 65% is a reasonable table and 61.6% depth can work.
