Need honest opinions

Below is a copy of a ring that I am having custom designed..I am a very active person therefore considering the semi bezel setting over a prong..This is a computer rendering . There are actually two images on this one ring as the other side we designed with a full bezel... Need help deciding if this is the way to go. All opinions and feedback would be welcomed to help me decide if this truly is the way to go. Likes, dislikes, prong, semi, full etc........

Honestly it''s too busy for me. If you''re an active person would you not worry about all the diamonds falling out?

For me it looks HEAVY. Alot of metal. I feel like you are loosing the stones. Don''t worry about being active, pick what you like. Just be sure to get insurance on your ring. Then you are cover no matter what. Rings are more durable than you think. they are made to be worn, just have it inspected regular and you will be ok.

If this is the look you LOVE. then it will be ok.

I actually have always found that my eye is attracted to bezel set round stones in graduated sizes. So I like that feature... I don't really care for the border on either side. I think the borders look like they should be separate. I think you could have two separate bands or an enhancer made for a very similar effect if you really want that look, and then you'd have a lot more versatile set- I don't think bands would spin since they'd be curved.

I think full or semi bezels is kinda just personal preference. I would probably prefer full bezel, for what that's worth

I do think once you have it exactly the way you want, it's going to be really unique and cool.

Oh, and I do think that the bezels look a bit heavy even for a CAD. I would probably ask them to make the bezels (or semi bezels, whichever) as light and delicate as possible.

I''m sure there are other ways of putting this, but this one shows how strongly I feel about it: It hurts my eyes. Maybe its just that there are "two rings" depicted here and I''m just not sure what I''m looking at -- but its so confusing and bulky looking.

Can you show us pictures of your original inspiration pieces -- so we know what appeals to you *beyond* this one computer illustration? I think knowing more about FINISHED pieces you like will help folks advise further.

I'd love to see where the inspiration for this ring came from. I get where you're going, but honestly, it feels really heavy to me. I love bezeled graduated stones, and I do like pave, but I feel like this ring is a bit more masculine when it encompasses what looks like 6mm+ of bezeled diamonds + all of that pave + surprise diamonds.

Perhaps a couple of pave eternity bands would work better? I think the bezeled graduated stones on their own with an interesting gallery could look amazingly clean and modern, but the pave borders and surprise diamonds are giving me the feeling of just "piling" on the diamonds.

This is another view from the side. I am having my three ring (wedding set) converted into one ring, for my 25th wedding anniversary. The concept is that the graduating stones on the sides represent a significant marker (children, love, etc.) in my life. I really do tend to gravitate to the bolder art deco styles with antique flares. The traditional classic engagement styles just don''t work for me.

Yes, the cad does show heavy and I have already discussed this with the Designer, and we are looking into a slimmer more tapered appearence. The pictures that I have are just the rough draft of where we think we are going with this.
