I've posted in other forums but I guess its in the wrong place. I did like this one today in a local store jewelers... but its 3k above my price!

I found a few on James Allen that might fit the bill. How about #s 186446, 236729, 228112, 230924. I checked goodoldgold.com and found a couple in the superior category but the price was not listed. Their customer service is excellent so if you call and tell them what you are looking for I am confident you can get what you want within your price range. Both JA and GOG have square diamond halo settings.

For your price range you should probably be able to get a larger stone than a 1.2 ct if you go with an eye clean SI1 and I in color. I'm not up on angles and such as some of the other folks here.

I looked at the JA... and it seems that all S|1 that you picked is not "eye clean" or is the rotating pictures actually magnified? Also... it has a lot of yellow tint... maybe a color grade one up will do?

Well figure that the diamond is going to be about the size of a pencil eraser. Those photos are hugely magnified. It is very possible to find a eye clean SI1. My SI1 is completely eye clean from the top. If I flip it upside down I can see a feather under the girdle but because no one will ever see it, it does not bother me. Some I color diamonds will show a little more tint than others. I am not color sensitive but if you think seeing a slight tint very infrequently will bother you than you can go up to a H color and you will be fine.

Please tell me your thoughts on the stone. Price is 8,700.

Oh, my. For anyone else looking at this thread: the stone is a 1.3ct I VVS2, not a 0.53ct I1 as the URL would suggest, so don't bother looking for inclusions in the video

It's gorgeous licerio. Are you certain of that price though? JA has another 1.3 I VVS2 for 10.8k, and a 1.3 I VS2 for 8.7k... the discrepancy is startling.

They applied the 1.5% discount for wire transferring. I did not ask about the "Pricescope discount" ... I just emailed my salesman now. What do I need to qualify for one?
