Need help with this

Hi all. I'm new to the forum and wanted to share a ring I came across. I'm a watch guy but also love jewelry. I have a hobby of trolling pawn shops in Boston and elsewhere to see what I can find. I came across this guy and found it to be unusual so I picked it up. It is a handmade 36 gram 14 k with an old 3/4 carat European cut diamond and two emeralds. I am wondering if the ring is very old or just the stones. I know just by a picture that it would be hard to tell but wondered if anyone has seen anything like it. Any comments would be appreciated..

Are there are marking inside the ring? Am I right that the ring has been freshly polished?

Just judging by the photo it looks like a relatively new setting specially made to accommodate the 3 older stones.
