Need HELP with rock measurements

Can anyone help me with these dimensions, they are off of an appraisal sheet and i''m not sure if i can tell if it is an okay diamond from this info? they don''t have any certification for the stone and i''m a little concerned about it. the appraisal has an estimated value at $23,446 which i think is a good $8-10,000 off any online diamond at 1.5 carat. before i invest any time into looking at this stone can anyone help? thank you.

Welcome zsrock.

With those dimensions the depth should be about 59.3% (is this on the appraisal sheet?).

Without more info there is no way to estimate its cut particulars. How did the appraiser arrive at VG?

well, i don''t know, that is why i''m not sure if this is legit or not. actually, from the looks of it, he appraised it in a "Gents yellow gold ring". so i don''t imagine he took the rock out? that is why, when i got the appraisal sheet i couldn''t understand the grading or value he came up with.

i''m thinking on finding an independent appraiser and have him take a look at it. the guy who is selling this ring wants $7000 for it and it might be a good deal if everything is on the up and up, but i have a funny feeling it may not be.

i''m going to go look at the stone tomorrow. if it looks okay, i''ll take it to another appraiser.
