Hello everyone,
I recently got this gemstone in an auction house.
Presenting a unique and rare 44 ct Natural Beer Quartz, masterfully crafted in a trilliant fancy shape with a composite (cross) cut. Measuring 26.13 x 25.13 x 25.64 mm, with a height of 13.60 mm, this gemstone showcases a stunning greenish-yellow hue and is completely transparent. This exquisite piece is untreated, adding to its natural beauty, and comes with a certification from Gem-tech (certificate number: 43595). Ideal for collectors or as a statement center stone for bespoke jewelry, this gem stands out for its rarity and exceptional craftsmanship.

After comparing the price with other similar stones, I come to evaluate it at around 400/500€ but I am no expert.IMG_20240627_190704.jpgIMG_20240701_005316.jpg

Have you guys any idea how much it's roughly worth?

Thanks very much, enjoy your day

Quartz is plentiful and readily available even in large carat weights, and is relatively inexpensive. Color, cut and clarity drive the pricing.

I checked the Euro to USD exchange rate, and it seems 400-500 euro is $429-$536.

In terms of value/worth, it is possible you could sell it to someone at that price range, but its color is not the most valuable within the quartz family, unusual shapes can be difficult and more costly to set, and concave faceting (as compared to traditional faceting) is generally less in demand by buyers as compared to traditional faceting.

If you mean how much is worth for insurance purposes, the value would be whatever you paid and/or the general market rate in your area if you were to buy another comparable quartz.

Thanks for your answer. I was hoping that it's shape would be a valuable asset because I've never seen a cut like that but your reasoning makes sense
