Hello Pricescope,

I am a 1st time diamond buyer and have a few questions. Hopefully someone with more knowledge than myself can help me!

1) has anyone heard or dealt with James Allen (jamesallen.com)? What are they like? Do they provide good and reliable service or will I just be dumping thousands of dollars and not get was is advertised?

2) Can someone please tell me if this diamond is worth buying.

jamesallen is a well respected vendor on PS and many people have used them! if you do a search for JA or James Allen maybe you can read more about people''s experiences.

It looks like a promising stone. The ideal cut grade is applied by the vendor as the only grading lab to apply standardized cut grades to princess diamonds is AGS and this one has been graded by GIA. Given very little can be garnered from the numbers on princess cut diamonds I would:

Request an ASET image of the stone and post it here. I have requested several ASETs from James Allen in the past and they were very helpful.
Ask James Allen if the stone is eyeclean to your standards. Being a VS2 means it should be but it won''t hurt to ask if the inclusions will affect performance or durability.

James Allen is a widely known and respected vendor here on PS so you should be in good hands.
