Need help picking a diamond! I found the setting

I could use some help choosing a diamond to go with this setting. I am looking for a round brilliant 1 carat diamond. G-I, VS2-SI1 eye clean, ideal cut.

Yep...cant do much without your budget. Pretty setting!
 
Sorry about that. I am looking at about 5000-5600 range for the diamond.
 
Use the Cut Quality seach to find the diamonds that match your specs...Here are just a few I found...
(for any SI1/SI2 stones you need to ask vendor if they are eye-clean) I would rather go with a G/eye-clean
SI2 to stay in your price range.

Brian Gavin Diamonds has 100% tradup on their H&A stones if the need should arise.

Thank You! I am trying to decide between local jeweler or online right now. Local jeweler just knocked 2600 off the price of a G SI1 but its only a GIA VG cut. I need to see the difference between an excellent cut and a Very Good. I am thinking i can find a better diamond for a little less than what hes offering even after the discount.

it doesn''t matter how much he knocked off if he was too high to begin with.

so,how much is he asking for this stone?
 
Depends on the numbers on that gia vg. Some are even better than some EXs, some aren''t - remember each grade is a range, and there can be some overlap of pleasing combinations.
 
Post the specs from any stones you consider with your local jeweler.

I don''t have the specs. Sorry. The stone was originally 7900 and now asking 5300. I can tell you that it had broken heart and arrow patterns. They showed me another GIA/very good/G SI1 and it was priced at like 9000. This stone had good heart and arrow patterns. They didn''t have very many round 1 carat diamonds on hand so i asked them to get an excellent cut 1 carat so i can compare them side to side. I think i am going to order a stone online and compare it against their diamonds when i go back.

Without knowing the information from the cert you cannot accurately judge the price, so make sure that when you go back to compare you see the certs and make note of the ct., color, clarity, the lab, and also the crown and pavilion angles and the depth and table %

those Brian Gavin stones are both gorgeous - but i really like the G SI2 stone.

ETA very pretty setting, too. will be a stunning ring.

They posted the hearts image that was not there before and stated it is a good looking 'eye clean' diamond. I am also looking at this one:

Both are super and if both are in fact eyeclean it comes down to your budget and colour preference, either will be extremely white and are of top cut quality.

That is a very nice diamond! I too have a G SI2 from BGD and I love it.
