Inherited this diamond some years ago, had it GIA graded, trying to understand the cut, cannot figure HCA (Please see GIA info below) can some one tell me if this is a dog, and maybe what the RAP would be on this?
eventually I will need to sell as me and my sister own this, and neither can afford to buy out the other.
not sure of the demand for a large stone, but maybe someone could suggest a price range to sell via internet, (% above or below RAP)

Thanks in advance to all of you

Just to give you an idea from one cut chart, this one would fall as average cut based on the large table measurement alone. The M color will also bring down the value. If it were mine, I''d be tempted to have it recut to ideal proportions. It would be smaller but more wearable for most of us as well as more beautiful! But you''ll have to take it to an appraiser to get the value. And expect to get less than the appraisal, of course.

I did a quick search and found 3 similar stones in the search engine. There were none that matched your specs exactly:

The prices are retail. The price you could get for it were you to sell it would be a fraction of retail. I know there are some threads on that issue floating around here someplace.

Hope this helps.

I agree about the recutting. It may be interesting to even get it recut into an Eightstar. Wink could help you with that. Link

Definitely get an appraisal to make sure you are getting an good idea of pricing, make sure you tell the appraiser your intention to sell, so they know what they are valuing it for.

I will check into recutting the diamond,
not really my forte, I hate to invest more into something being a rookie, and dealing with shipping, new GIA report etc
not in a hurry to sell, just want to offer it for a fair (retail) price,

I know RAP is just a number, but does anyone know what RAP would be on this??
Thanks
