Hi guys. This is my first time getting a engagement ring and any help from you guys will be appreciated.
So there's a ring from Lauren B that I really like and want BE to custom make it. I've already picked out a 2 carat diamond with BE. I'm currently working with BE.

It is a micro-pave rose gold band with platinum basket and prong.

Video: https://instagram.com/p/BIA3TNKgnSA/

The CAD pictures and plastic model are attached

So I really like the Lauren B ring shown in the instagram video. I really want the ring from BE to look exactly like it
So my questions are:
1. For the shank, my guy said it will be 1.9mm. looking at the video do you guys think that 1.9mm is the right width for the shank, I like a thin band, is 1.9mm good width?
2. Do you guy think platinum is good for the basket/prong? I was between platinum and white gold. Which of the two do you guys prefer?
3. Rose gold for the shank. I was gonna pick 18k is that better than 14k?
4. I felt that the depth of the shank was thick and I told my guy this already so they're gonna make another CAD.
5. Also I felt the diamond is a bit high and I've told my guy this already also. he said the diamond will not be that high in the finished product. What do you guys think?

I'm now waiting for the new CAD images.

First, why are you ripping off a designer ring when you should be buying the original? That's someone's Copyright protected work.

Second, unless your lady picked that ring, I WOULD NOT PICK IT. Why? It's just funny looking. I can see it appealing to men. But it looks like something straight out of the Jetsons. And I have seen several MUCH MUCH nicer rings of that type that I would recommend you chose instead.

I would NOT surprise anyone with that funny looking setting. Does your lady have a pinterest page? If so, please link us to it now.

PLEASE post her Pinterest account ASAP.

Second, here are some lovely pave collar/bar settings. Please note, I am not advocating you have BE rip off anyone's designs. I would recommend you go with the original designers of these OR have BE (who has a very talented bench) custom make a setting inspired by these, but uniquely made for your lady.

https://www.brilliantlyengaged.com/adrienne-bpid-1239-45.html First choice, and so much nicer than that Lauren B design.

This setting from BE is gorgeous and also much nicer than the one you are considering: https://www.brilliantlyengaged.com/amber-classic-pear-shape-diamond-engagement-ring-bpid-283-19.html (look at the images, ignore the baffling label of "pear shaped", there is nothing pear shaped about it.

https://www.brilliantlyengaged.com/elise-split-shank-4-prong-micro-pave-ribbon-enagement-ring-bpid-150-18.html I love this one, and it's from BE.

http://www.loveaffairdiamonds.com/the-fina-solitaire-setting/ You can have pave added to the shank of this design, and if being made by BE, you can have them do bright cut pave on the basket and make the donut smaller (LAD could do all of this too, and they have a great bench). That would make it uniquely yours. And be gorgeous and most of all FEMININE.

http://www.loveaffairdiamonds.com/the-julia-solitaire-setting/ Personal favorite pave collar setting. I would ask LAD to make it with bright cut pave on the shank for you.

BE can use these as inspiration to make you a custom, unique original setting:

Not to push the above setting over the ones Gypsy linked you to (I also love the LAD settings!!), but I have this video conveniently saved to my pinboard because it's the setting I want. If you compare the two videos you should immediately see the difference in fluidity, proportion, craftsmanship, etc.
