Can you tell me what you think about this lab report. I'm curious about your opinion on light return and also the inclusions. Report can be found at http://www.agslab.com/pdf_sync_reports/104063813031-PGRH.PDF They say it is eye clean at 6 inches. What do you think? Please help as I don't get much feedback for some reason and my ADHD has my mind going in circles trying to find the right diamond

That's a WhiteFlash A Cut Above stone, and AGSL has graded the Light Performance as Ideal - without a doubt it will be a top performer.

As to the inclusions, WF indicates it is eyeclean, which I believe by their definition means eyeclean from the top at 6 inches, and eyeclean from the side at 10 inches. Not sure whether that meets your requirement for eyeclean in general, and if you are choosing a setting which is open from the side, you may want to ask WF if it is eyeclean from the side at 6 inches (or closer).

(And as an aside, the IdealScope for this stone shows a bit more white than I am used to seeing on WF's ACAs... I am assuming it is just an artifact from the imaging, especially as the Aset looks great.)

I think their standards are 10 inches from both side and top, since a stone I looked at a while ago said it was eye clean on the site, but there was a note saying there was a visible inclusion from 6 inches. Either way I'd ask them about it

yeah it's really difficult to determine anything about the inclusions from the plot on the report alone. Discuss it with WF and if they are visible at some distance, ask if they can be covered by a prong.

Thanks for the advice. I heard back from whiteflash and the diamond is not eye clean from the side. They recommended these two stones. Which one is better, and can I find better for the price? I really hate dropping below .85 as I originally wanted a 1 caret but can't afford it. http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2812712.htm And. http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2813897.htm .

How do you plan on setting the diamond. The stone will be partially obstructed from the side view depending on how you set it. It's possible that any inclusion that you can see by looking through the pavilion when the stone is loose will not seen once the stone is sitting in it's setting. I have an 'eye clean' SI stone, but if I look really close from the side I can see a small white feather...truth is, I very very seldom ever look at my stone from this angle and certainly no one else does. For me personally I would choose a larger stone with an inclusion only noticeable from the side, over a smaller stone with no visible inclusion. I'd also consider that WF gemologists are trained to locate these inclusion, it's quite possible that an un-trained consumer would never see it unless it was pointed out to them....perhaps not even then. Just something to think about....

I am considering setting the stone in Simon g http://www.simongjewelry.com/simong_m/product/Style_MR1939/15916/EN Or zeghani http://zeghani.com/index/prod/sku/ZR560 WF had stated that they would not be able to hide the inclusion by a prong so I'll pass on that diamond. However, I did find 2 diamonds from goodoldgold. I put one on reserve, let me know what you think. http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/10557/.. And http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/10615/ Also, here is a video with the diamonds side by side. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-jm1SDb3Fk&feature=youtu.be - Here's the link. This is what goodoldgold had to say about the two diamonds. " i am one of the pickiest, most anal clarity graders/analyzers in our lab. I rarely even give a SI1 100% 'eye clean' when most others do. But for these two I can confidently tell you both are 100% eye clean at any distance, lighting and angle. "
AND

"Regarding color, here's two picture comparing the two stones mentioned below (face up and profile), the .81 G (left) & the .98 I (right) - it does come down to personal preference and keep in mind photo's exaggerate the difference. "
