Need help on criss cut

Hi everyone, I need help about criss cut. I’ve been trying to find a nice criss cut for a while.
It’s has been not so smooth finding. I have returned 2 stone already. I thought 3rd time will be charm but I am not so sure. I thought criss cut would be more sparkle version of emerald cut, but all I see is dark lines at middle part? Are those dark shadow light leakage? But from GCAL report, stone performance looks nice?

Is this kind of stone supposedly performance like this?
I need some input please.

Hi,
I'm not an expert, but I would think you have to look at these in a similar way to EC's. With step cuts, you'll always see those dark strands, but the questions to ask are, how many, how big, where (you don't want dead center) and how fast they flash.
With your videos, on the gloved hand, I liked the top one better, but if that is the 1.51, when I looked at the Loupe 360 I liked the 1.53 better. So, I'm not much of a help. It does say the 1.51 is not available. Did you put a hold on it? Whatever you do, don't settle, the right one will come along. I know there are some concierge service jewelers on PS that might be able to source some options for you. I don't know the names, but I've seen them recommended on here. IDJ in NYC might be able to help. Yuketiel is the owner. He's very nice. Might be worth giving him a call and mention that you are looking for PS quality.

Whatever you find, always come back here to get opinions. The pros on here are great.

Momoffive has a great suggestion. I also would reach out to Yuketiel and ask for visual assistance. He helped screen my emerald, A lovely man to work with.

Of the two stones you posted, I like the 1.53. The other appears dark in the center, but that may just be obstruction from the camera. In general, I found the cut to be a fast splintery movement, not broad flashes of the emerald.

Sorry this has been so frustrating.

Here is the criss-cross I rehomed to another PSer. The center was bright and not too dark.

Of the two I prefer the 1.51, but think finding one more similar to that @MMtwo showed would likely be better.

Oops, me too. The top one is my favorite of the two
