Hello all, I am trying to decide on whether or not I am getting a good price on an enagement ring I recently purchased from Shenoa & Co. in New York. I have read about their mishaps on ebay, but I have to say I purchased this diamond in the store and I have had nothing but good experiences with them. I just wanted to solicit some opinons about the diamond grading and price to see what others think.
My diamond is a GIA certified 1.32 Asscher cut 6.31 x 6.13 x 3.97 mm, F color, VSI clarity, Depth: 64.8%, Table 64%, Girdle - Thin, Cutlet - None, Polish - Excellent, Symmetry - Excellent. No Fluorescence.
It is a solitare platinum setting - all in the ring cost me approximately $9,500.
It looks great, but am I better off going with a slightly lesser grade 1.5ct? Or is there no real discernable difference in size between the 1.32 and 1.5 in an asscher cut? Thoughts?
