Need help in choosing blue sapphire

Hi all!
I decided to get the violet sapphire from @Dr_Diesel , since it's one of the best violets I've seen and I've also heard that he's having a hard time lately

It's sad to hear he's selling all of his loose stones but I hope it helps him in hard times. If anyone's interested, go take a look on LT!

My sapphire will be on hold till late May, and I'll update the thread once I receive it! Very excited hehe

I'm already thinking about how I should set it, maybe a floral design? I'll definitely be going with platinum or white gold though

I think you made the right choice. It is a great looking stone.

Sometimes you have to take the chance when opportunity presents itself because it may not ever come again. I myself got a little something, too. On one hand, it's good to see gems stay within PS where they'll be cherished. On the other, I feel a little bit like a vulture.

I can understand that completely. Emotions are complicated and they definitely attach to our stones and jewelry, maybe even more than usual. Let's hope DD is mostly glad when things sell and that nothing of massively sentimental value went up for sale.
