Hi,

I'm looking to get an engagement ring and I'm very new to the game.
My partner wants a round-cut diamond in a Tiffany setting.

I did some basic research and there is an ideal setting for a round-cut diamond

I'm looking to get an Excellent cut category based on the GIA standard or other equivalent.

My budget is CAD 5000 and I'm looking to get
Caret: 1.88 - 2.00
Colour: D or E
Clarity: VS2 or higher
Cut rank: Excellent

I really want to get this done and thank you so much for all your help!

Hello and welcome to PriceScope, Jembid!
Love the looks of that 2.00 carat, Kim N!

Found another beauty:

$10 cheaper at DreamStone:

Grading report:

They have a few settings that may fit the bill:

Thank you so much for the recommendation!

I forgot to mention that she wants the Tiffany knife edge band setting.
Would this band setting be similar to the Tiffany knife edge setting?

or

Thank you for the help! :)
You guys are making my life so much easier

The Cario would not be like a Tiffany setting...no donut and the band is too thin.

The Nazrene would be more like the Tiffany setting. The circled item is called a "donut" which the Tiffany setting has and the
band is more substantial like a Tiffany. The only problem with the picture is that the stone is set too low to look like a ring
from Tiffany. The stone needs to be set higher. If you go with this setting, find a Tiffany ring (about your stone size), set
at the height you want, and send the picture to LGD as an example of how high you want your stone set. Also not the
shape of the prongs is square (not just the tips).

Wait, I see one more issue...the prongs sort of bow out. You do not want that. You want them to follow the angle of the
pavilion of the diamond. To be straighter...not bowed out.

Actually, here is a link to a 4 carat Tiffany solitare (if you have a spare $120K :D). Lots of views of the setting
so you can see what a "real" Tiffany solitaire looks like. Prongs should be tabs. Prong post should also be
a little more square than the Nazrene but not as big of a deal IMO but YMMV.
