Need help finding super ideal 2 ct stone

I'd make it like this EXCEPT I'd ask for a small doughnut under the prongs:

I really think the scalloped basket is prettiest.

And I'd have a matching wedding band made. I'd definitely leave a sizing area on both rings.

Thats the design I'm going off of but with a u-cut pave on the band. I'm just not sure if I should keep it with the bright cut pave on the basket/prongs or go with u-cut to match the band.

I personally like it like it is, but I'd do the same kind of pave everywhere. I absolutely would not do three sided pave on the shank (band). Just on top. I think bright cut protects the stones better, but both ways are pretty! I'd still add a doughnut rather than have the prongs attach to the shank the way they are in that picture, though.

Are there any benefits to the donut or is it just for the look? On the shank, I'm going with a single row of shallow u-cut pave. I'm debating keeping the scalloped part of the basket in bright cut pave. I think the edge of the channel accentuates the curve of the scallop. I'm just not sure if it will look weird mixing two types of pave on the basket. Ahhhh so many choices.

Have you asked Victor about the pave styles? Because he should have an opinion about how it looks best since he has made many of them. I'd trust his judgement. I prefer a doughnut as opposed to prongs just sticking out of the shank. I like the way it looks better, and hopefully the douhgnut would keep the wedding band from rubbing the e-ring prongs.

I did talk with Victor about it. He said its really up to me. Some people have done different pave styles on the shank and basket. Others have kept it the same.

That's a great point about the doughnut. The wedding band would rub against the side of the doughnut instead of the prongs. I know my gf plans to wear both the e-ring and wedding band together.

Thanks again for your help. I'm totally clueless when it comes to jewelry so I really appreciate it. This site and the members have been such a valuable resource.

I'm going to add a plain donut as my gf doesnt want to have to wear a spacer. I like the look of the pave on the donut, but it prob wouldnt be wise to wear with a wedding band. Now to figure out a way to get my gfs final ring size...

Okay, a plain doughnut is exactly what I meant! Great!

Did you ask Victor about mixing the two pave styles? I would want his opinion on that.

You need her exact ring size in the summer (when fingers are maybe a little bigger from the heat). It is not good to size a shank with pave on it. Just FYI, the ring will fit a little more snugly once a wedding band is worn with it, so don't be worried if it is slightly on the loose side. I'd probably go up an eighth of a size over what fits her perfectly alone.

Victor agreed that bright cut for the scallop basket would show off the curves of the scalloping more. This is the closest example I could find from a SK youtube clip. Its hard to tell from the blurry pic but it l looks to be u-cut on the prongs and bright-cut on the scallop.
