Hi all - I'm looking for your expertise in finding similar settings to the Verragio Parisian 120. I like this style and would love to consider some other similar settings. Thank you in advance!
Could you describe what you like about it? Verragio is one of the only makers that that have that double shank and decorative undergallery. Verragio have very intricate setting, but execute the double shank quite differently (see below).
Just a few practical notes about the design, the design's double band will be inclined to collect all manner of "stuff" -- hand lotion, water, sweat, cooking ingredients, etc. So, you'll have to keep it pristine. The lack of pave makes this setting suitable for an ultrasonic clearer, which is good. You should have a good think about your lifestyle and job and be sure that a ring will suit. The undergallery design raised the head up quite a bit. I sketched two boxes to show this. The black box is nearly the height of the pink (which is basically the height of the diamond). So, these settings tend to be quite high. Some love them, I find that I simply bang up rings that sit high.
Also, any ring with a double shank on the bottom half will be nearly impossible to resize. Finger's change size for all different reasons (weight loss/gain, medications, temperature, pregnancy, etc.), any several friends with such settings had to get a whole new setting after having babies (your body may return to pre-baby weight, but you fingers may not for a long time or ever). These rings can be made smaller (up to 1 1/2 sizes) with a liner. But, they cannot get made bigger.
I'm not meaning to put down the setting at all, just speak from many decades of wearing all manner of rings.
