Hi everyone,
This is my first post but I've been learning a lot on here over the past few weeks. My F2B and I have been e-ring shopping at various local B&M stores and I've shown her lots of ideas online. She has chosen a setting she absolutely loves above all others but even though it's quite simple I haven't been able to find anything the same elsewhere. Has anyone seen something like this?
www.spencediamonds.com/product/style-7849
The site lists it at $1899 but they are selling it for $1000 CDN. I know their markup is huge but to go a custom ring route, 2 local jewlery stores quoted around $1800. I like the idea of buying online where I can get the diamond and setting in one place and not have to worry about it. But after speaking with a couple of places, due to the bezel design, it requires having the diamond in hand prior to making the bezel which means I'd have to go with whomever builds the setting.
My budget is only $3000 CDN (not including tax) and I can get a similar 0.6c diamond online for the same price as a 0.4c in store. It's not a huge difference in size but enough that it makes this ring pop. The smaller stone is only slightly larger than the band itself.
I would love to know what other think? The profile of this ring is not good on its own but looks wonderful when paired with the matching band.
Thanks,
Brian
