Hi!

I'm in the process of getting a ring made for a step cut lozenge/kite shaped diamond that I rescued from a local pawn shop. Very exciting! However, the design I'm dreaming of requires a pair of step cut trapezoid side stones and they're harder to source than I anticipated. To add to the difficulty: the lozenge is a K color and so I'm dearly hoping for a pair of traps closer to that section of the color scale than the D-G colors I've come across so far. The measurements I've been given for these are 5.6 x 2.4mm, but I understand that it will probably be necessary to consider diamonds that aren't exactly those same measurements.

You all are such a wealth of knowledge and I've so appreciated learning what I have from this forum already. Would anyone be able to point me in a direction to find these side stones? Thanks a million!

Every reputable jeweler has source for side/accent diamonds. I would suggest to pick up the jeweler with whom you will make your new ring, and ask him to acquire such pair of side diamonds. There is also jewelry cutters specialized in side diamonds, just make an on-line search.
