Ditto, only b/c there''s some consensus here that HCA scores of 1 - 1.5 may perform better than <1.

more info would be helpful, esp. IS images. Can you link us to the stones?

ILB, HCA is a rejection tool.

JN, I was agreeing w/ Ellen''s post that its almost impossible to choose one on the basis of these numbers alone.

Since the only apparent differences in these stones are minute (and are captured by the HCA score), and since OP is asking which to pick, not which stone not to reject (I wouldn''t reject either necessarily, but at some point he has to reject one of them), one has to make a recommendation based on something. There''s been a lot of discussion on these boards about HCA scores 1 - 1.5 being preferable to <1. Doesn''t mean anything below 1 should always be rejected, or even that something 1-1.5 should always be chosen over something <1, but given the dearth of information, at least it forms some basis for making a recommendation, right?

Thanks for the help so far!

The other measurements are:
#1 5.83 x 5.88 x 3.53

#2 5.88 x 5.93 x 3.56

Can''t link to the stones and no IS image....

I would not rec''d a stone, or prefer one based on numbers alone. To me, it is not a dearth of information, as they are both AGS 0, so they meet the shallowness maxmium for 0. AGS 0 guideline is steeper than GIA EX
