Hi guys,
I have been looking at loose diamonds on-line for quite a while (bluenile, james allen, white flash), and I think I have settled on one in particular (link/info below). Should I splurge a little more to go bigger (budget up to $4,500)? Go smaller for better clarity? Is a round brilliant with J color a bad idea? Are there better diamonds that I could get with the budget I have set out? I've called bluenile, and they have stated that this particular diamond is eye clean. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

at that size I like a J, i think thats a good idea, but i wouldnt buy an SI2 without being able to see pictures. Is your budget for the setting AND stone or just the stone?

also, what color would your setting be?

Hey Niel,
Thanks for the reply. The $4500 budget is solely for the stone, and the setting will be in platinum. I have read that BlueNile is pretty reliable when it comes to their return policy. I thought I would purchase the stone, and return it if it does not meet what I am looking for.

Niel, where are the gia reports for both the diamond links that you attached? The numbers on the reports on those links do not match any gia report that I can see..

Yeah I can't find them either. I think you'd have to ask someone for them. You could just use their live chat though. They are very friendly and helpful. Wish it was a BG blue instead of a select, butbeing a select should have nice enough angles to ateast enquire about.
