You'll do a lot better if you go down to about H in color. Do a search with the "search by cut" feature above and choose excellent for cut, .80-.99, maybe G-H for color and VS2-SI1 for clarity and see what you come up with. Oh, and click in-house.

Hello,

Have u try Bluenile?? Are u looking for engagement ring btw?????
My bf and I are looking for ring at Bluenile right now. They have excellent service. We had purchased from them before too. You can always call and ask any question you like, they have really honest opinion.

It''s good that you have a price range. You can find a really good one with $4000. The first one you were looking at, it wasn''t a ideal cut however. So, it might not reflect as much light even it''s F colour. I honestly think you should pick something with ideal cut (GIA) standard, above SI1 and see what you can fit into your colour. Again, this is just personal, good luck.

Cheers,

Because of that particular combination (almost FIC) and the slightly thick girdle you lose some spread so it faces up about .85 or so (a .90 generally is about 6.2 mm,) and when looking at that sort of combination most people would prefer to see a picture, Sarin, or Helium to make sure the angles are rather tight (you see that GIA grades its symmetry as very good.) It may very well be worth your consideration.

JulieN,

so u suggest me to pull the trigger??? i mean, if i am not going to loose much of quality , i might rather go for it right...
and i was looking at one of the diamond you recommended, and it looks good...so, i am trying to see which is better choice...

i know most of time it depends on one''s preference....but as an overall.......

and also i am looking at stuller solatire setting(platinum)...any suggestions on that????

thx,

Maybe this one, too

.9 F SI1 4120 http://www.jamesallen.com/diamond.asp?b=16&a=12&c=77&cid=131&item=860647

The Mondera one:
.9 F SI1 3800 http://www.jamesallen.com/diamond.asp?b=16&a=12&c=77&cid=131&item=947176

As the first .9 F SI1 and the .86 G VS2 are in-house stones owned by James Allen, maybe have the second .9 SI1 called in so that someone at JA can pick from the three, and send you pictures and Sarin. It costs 30 for the third option to be brought in.

I'm pretty sure they work with Stuller.

but if you see all the JS stones have clouds right at the centre...eventhough the spread is excellent(HCA)....mondera stone doesnt have something in the middle..but i am concerned about its depth/table eventhough HCA ~1.4....

But it still needs to be looked at. I''d want to see pictures, Ideal Scope, and someone on the other end who can tell me it''s a great stone before I put down 4K.
