Hi Everyone!

I got engaged in October and our wedding plans are well under way. I wanted to enlist you ladies to help me choose a wedding band to go with my e-ring. My e-ring is attached and I am not sure if I want an exact matching band, or something different, or something more blingy to go along with it.

Any suggestions?

sorry that picture was blurry. here is a new one

I personally would get an exact match. I am matchy-matchy for stuff like this!!! GORGEOUS!

Get you show a picture of the underside? Pending how the donut/ head/ shank are all placed will determine what options you have. Personally I have a very similiar ring so I got a matching (ish) eternity band to wear and then stacked it with a sapphire band so it wasn't too matchy matchy..I'm not a fan of that typically.

Also what is your budget?

EDIT: If your ring does have a donut (similar to my picture showing the profile) you will have a gap. Do you mind gaps?

I like the idea of doing different stacking bands but I don't want my one "main" wedding band to be too thin to wear on its own should I decide to do that. I also like the idea of getting a u prong eternity ring but I'm open to different suggestions as well :)

Thanks in advance!

Sorry also wanted to mention that my budget is about $1500-1800 max and there is no donut on my ring, so whatever I get (as long as it doesn't sit too high) should be flush with my e ring. Sorry for not mentioning that earlier

Get a matching band and later get different bands. Personally I think 2 matching if not similar bands look nice with halo e-rings

If you're active, it might be nice to just get a plain wedding band the same width as your engagement ring for the times when you can't wear your engagement ring.

Nice bling!

If you can get a matching band and a plain band, get that and have both used in your ceremony. Then for your 1st anniversary get a non-matchy band to add.

I would get one matching and one non-matching, like Sarahbear's example above (Love your set Sarahbear!)

Having one match makes it really classic, and then having one non-matchy gives some extra flair and something that can stand on its own when you just wear a band.

This is the other example I was thinking of. It's not a halo but to me it shows how great a matchy and non-matchy can look.

This is Kate Beckinsale's set.

I vote for fully matching eternity style wedding band. very pretty e-ring btw

+1 I love this idea!

I agree with all of the above!

Matching diamond band to go with e-ring

Plain band (perhaps wider) to wear when you don't want to wear wedding set

Different band like Sarah's to wear at the bottom (nice 1st anniversary gift!). Beverley K sells nice ones. I am hoping to get one this year to wear with my straight diamond band and e-ring.

(A u-prong eternity isn't going to work with your e-ring, so save that idea for a right hand ring or standalone ring in place of wedding set.)

Alexandra I'm copying what DS wrote because I agree with the things that others have suggested above. I'd like to give another option in addition to their great advice though. Since "plain" bands aren't super expensive, it always makes sense to have one as a 'knock-around' ring. But DH bought 2 matching full eternity wbands for me, which I thought was crazy at the time, but has turned out well after all.

I was able to very lightly solder my ering to one of the wbands (in just a few spots & they can be separated later) as my everyday set, so that they're not rubbing, scratching, or eating away at one another. Then I have the 2nd eternity wband that I sometimes wear as a 3rd band, but I mostly wear it as a solo band because I usually like to have a little bling even when I'm dressed down. :D

I am a big fan on non matching sets so I really like the idea of the three sided pave eternity. You will have to wear a spacer band between your e-ring and the pave band because they will eat each other away. These can be found on Etsy, there are tons of styles to choose from but usually a very low profile 1mm band will work. I also second the pp's in that you should get a very non matchy band (colored stones, different shape ect)
